You may be asking yourself, “Could there be a better me"? The answer is, yes! There is a better you! The first step to becoming a better you is to clarify what it is you want to change. It might be something specific about your life, or you might want to change something internally about yourself.
"You must take full responsibility for the changes that you would like to make in your life."
No matter what kind of change you desire, take time to think about it and write it down:
- What specifically would you like to change? Why?
- What could possibly change in my life if I made this change?
- Why would I like to make this change?
- What are some areas you need to work on that will make you a better you?
"Remember, do not try to make all these changes at one time or too quickly."
I believe that when we change, our lives will change. Your mindset will become your greatest obstacle, to making changes, to become a better you. If you do not believe that you can become a better you, then you will continue to sabotage yourself throughout this process. You must find real authentic reasons to make this change in your life. For change to work, you must believe in yourself and the process of change. Your change must first come from within yourself. It is not other people’s responsibility for what does and does not happen during the process. You must take full responsibility for the changes that you would like to make in your life. Please, remember things will not always go as expected, however, try to remain motivated and inspired about this BETTER ME YOU ARE BECOMING!
- Focus on self-care.
- Exercise, drink more water.
- Volunteer, mediate, read.
- Be grateful, stop complaining.
- Everyday write down what you are grateful for.
- Learn something new. A new skill, hobby, trade. Celebrate your small accomplishments.
- Help others, be kind.
- FORGIVE. LISTEN.
"Consider all the great possibilities and the positive impact this will have on your life."
Becoming a better version of yourself will require you to CHANGE! It will consist of making intentional choices and putting forth your best effort. Consider all the great possibilities and the positive impact this will have on your life. Remember, do not try to make all these changes at one time or too quickly. When you feel like giving up, remember your WHY!
